Who can benefit from diVa® treatment?

Women that have gone through vaginal childbirth or are experiencing symptoms of menopause are candidates for this procedure. Childbirth stretches the vaginal canal and surrounding tissue, damaging vaginal walls, perineum and surrounding tissue, which often leads to diminished vaginal health and weakened pelvic structures.

Menopause, hysterectomy, chemotherapy or activities like breastfeeding, may lead to reduced estrogen production which, in turn, negatively impact healthy vaginal function. Because it is a non-hormonal treatment, diVa® is an option for women who have experienced breast cancer, chemotherapy or radiation or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Any woman who is interested should consult with their health provider to find the best course of treatment.

Why diVa®?

diVa® is often used in women who have experienced a drop in estrogen production or a hormonal imbalance. The thinning walls and weakened structure caused by these conditions impact many women.

How does diVa® work?

diVa's Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology delivers two laser therapies at once for fast and easy treatment. The first laser impacts the layers of the vaginal wall. The second laser penetrates the deeper layers of the tissue. diVa®'s cutting-edge technology allows your provider to customize your treatment.

How long does it take for a full diVa® procedure?

diVa® is specially designed for fast and comfortable treatments. Each diVa® treatment takes only 3 to 5 minutes.

How many diVa® treatments are needed to see results?

Every woman's body and needs are different, so the number of treatments will depend on your current issues and your goals. Generally speaking, providers recommend between one and three procedures spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. After that, one treatment per year will help maintain optimal results.

What can I expect during diVa® treatment?

Most women experience no pain and little discomfort during their diVa® treatment. Some women report feeling warmth or slight pressure against the vaginal wall. Rarely, patient experience sensitivity near the vaginal opening. Your provider can apply a topical anesthetic for your comfort. Because diVa® is so precise and takes so little time, most women have an easy and comfortable experience.

What should I expect during the 48 hours following diVa® treatment?

Most women immediately return to their regular daily routines. Some patients experience minor spotting, discharge or discomfort. To protect the newly resurfaced vaginal walls, patients are advised to avoid sexual intercourse for at least 48 hours. Your provider can give you the full rundown of what to expect after treatment.

How long do diVa® treatments last?

Because diVa® is not surgery and is non-ablative, you can maintain your results with repeated treatments as needed.
